Guests will be assigned a predetermined Alcatraz Cruises ferry to the island and go inside the main cell house. Experience the award-winning cell house audio tour and return on any boat you desire returning every thirty minutes.

Package includes: • Round trip ferry boat access to Alcatraz Island from Pier 33 ($39.90 non refundable) • Alcatraz self guided audio tour downloadable on your phone • $15 same day food credit towards Wharf restaurant of this tour operators choice. No substitutions or future date use. Guests pay the difference of tip/tax/gratuity. Alcatraz will assign you a time to depart the Pier 33 Landing. You will take the short 15 minute boat road to experience Alcatraz Island. Stay as long as you would like and return on any ferry boat each half hour. Alcatraz portion provided by a third party company as a package. Restaurant of choice is only the food provider and does not handle any guest service issues on this package. NOTE: We do not accept any requests for food (i.e Vegan/kosher/etc) and is subject only to whatever is on the menu. We will not offer refunds for any requests or items not on the menu.

Initially had to demand a refund of the lunch proportion of the ‘Relaxed Lunch’ as the boat departure was scheduled at...lunchtime. Then had 24 hour flight delay to SF, contacted Viator and their local supplier multiple times re rescheduling as the tickets are neither flexible nor refundable. Got zero reply. Thanks for nothing Viator. And you’re also GDPR non-compliant...don’t text your EU clients asking for their kids details. Disgusted.

Note to other guests: We are going to take this time to educate you using this experience to avoid similar situations. Alcatraz requires full names of each guest (for security and ticket issue purposes) in advance for our manifests. Should a guest tender duplicate names (as this guest did) a note to correct names will be sent. This is a simple update by email or text that takes a few minute without endless emails. Guests that are disgusted about our attempt to correctly process their own error so they do not get denied access by Alcatraz are subject to missing cut off times for orders. Tickets are non refundable/non exchangeable. Guests that miss their tour times put everyone in a situation that we can not re-accommodate. Alcatraz is a high demand sold out weeks in advance experience. There is no wiggle room on missing tours should a guest miss their time slot. We have ZERO options to help after cut off times regardless of the situation. Guest are informed that their lunch vouchers are valid for lunch or dinner hours on their own schedule around the timing of their Alcatraz departure time. The restaurants we choose are open early and late with plenty of time to experience Alcatraz and food options without being rushed. We did everything we could for this guest and we knew that no matter how hard we tried it was not going to end well. We do not enjoy making things difficult for our guests but in the end we realize we simply can not please everyone no matter how we try. We took care of this guest and made it right despite this review. We hope they enjoyed Alcatraz and made it home safely.

Fun day spent on the island. Check in takes a bit but ride to and from the island is quick and easy.

We booked this tour of Alcatraz when we realized that tickets to Alcatraz sell out months in advance. Even though it was a lot more expensive, we knew this was something that we wanted to see while we were in San Francisco. After booking, I got an email saying that the company would email me with the exact departure time. Well, the day before we were scheduled to go to Alcatraz I got an email saying that our tour had been cancelled. So we were left scrambling trying to find last minute tickets and had to spend one morning of our vacation trying to rearrange plans. We ended up getting tickets from a wonderfully helpful tour company in San Francisco, and on our boat ride to Alcatraz we met other couples who had this same company cancel on them at the last minute too! I understand if tickets sell out, but don’t list them as available and give people false hope only to cancel at the last minute!!! Terrible customer service - don’t risk your vacation and purchase anything from them!
