I was on a work trip and had no events to attend in the evening so I decided to try a Brewery Tour. I was met by our guide Eric and taken in a blue mini bus with two other guests to 3 breweries around Minnesota. It was a great way to spend an evening rather than in a hotel room. Eric was great fun and a real character and certainly seemed to know his beer! First stop was the Bent Brewstillery, which was my favourite. We got to meet the owner who also shared his spirits that they distil along with beer which he was clearly very proud of. The gin was fantastic so I did bring a couple of bottles home! The beer here was also very good! I like the Pineapple Thyme which was different in a good way but packed at punch at 12.5%. Next stop was 612 Brewery which was another great places with some fantastic beer and very friendly staff. Last stop was Able Seedhouse and Brewery, this was an old converted factory and a cool setting. Quite a bit busier than the other two places. This tour is great value for money as a set price and you can try as much as you want. You are given home made pretzels and water on the mini bus and there was the chance to buy food at the 612 brewery. Great tour and I had a great time.

Our Guide Eric was very knowledgeable about the local beer scene. He was able to recommend beers at each of our stops based on our favorites. Eric had a great attitude and fun personality. All the stops took great care of the tours with quick service. We had trouble booking online but after a call to the management they took the time to manually book us so we could attend a tour on our only available day. Highly recommend if you have never been on a beer tour in Minneapolis.

My friend and I are visiting from California. We have been on many a wine tasting tour out west but have never been on a brewery tour before. What an enjoyable experience the Bitter Minnesota Brewery Tour was for us. Our tour guide Eric was outstanding he is a blend of your favorite professor and tour guide. Eric knows all about the different beers and ciders. He shared just the right amount of history of the three different breweries and neighborhoods were we visiting. We were never bored or rushed on this tour the afternoon just flew by. If you enjoy tasting different beer and European ciders I would recommend this tour between the wonderful tour guide and the friendly Brewers you can't go wrong.
