What a fabulous way to get away from the usual tourist attractions. We got to see different parts of the city, meet local friends, and gain insights into the booming Minneapolis craft brewery culture. We did the Sunday afternoon tour and had a fabulous time. Our tour was small (two of us, our guide Eric, and one other), but we immediately felt comfortable with our new friends, and the bartenders at each location were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Although more of a bar hop than a brewery tour, the knowledgeable guide and brewery employees were able to provide enough insight for a really interesting day. And all the beers we tried were fabulous! We would do this again in a second, and I can only imagine how much fun it would be to go at a busier time with a bus full of strangers. If you like beer, check out this tour!

Bitter Minnesota is awesome. Our tour guide Eric was so down to earth and just a straight up really fun guy. Was very knowledgeable! We are returning with some other friends in March and are super excited!

My husband and I went with another couple on the brewery hop for Valentine's Day. Chris, our mellow driver, was calm and courteous. We hit three breweries: Fulton, Boom Island, and Steel Toe. The Black IPA at Fulton was delicious, Boom Island offered a flight of beer and an informative discussion of Belgian beer by a very cool employee in a retro 50s atmosphere; bought a 750ml Throprock IPA to go. At Steel Toe, tasted a Size 11 IPA. We didn't really "tour" any brewery...available if there was a tour guide on premises. Chris kept us entertained and made sure we had yummy seasoned pretzels that were hand-packed in baggies and stored in a large Tupperware. It was about 20 below zero outside and the lil blue bus was full of fun. I would do this again. There was one other couple on the bus that was interactive; making 6 of us. Overall it was a non pretentious easy-going bus trip that introduced us to some cool breweries hidden in off-beat locales.
