Experienced the Bitter Minnesota craft beer tours this weekend and had a great time. A friend and myself joined a public tour where we enjoyed fine company, delicious pretzels, and of course amazing craft beer. There were food trucks available at 2/3 of our stops, and the one at Steel Toe was awesome, although that may have just been my drunk taste buds. It was interesting to see as the tour went on and the beers were downed how the whole group gets more interactive. I had rationed my beer intake fairly well until some generous people on the bus started sharing full growlers on the journey to each new brewery. I definitely would recommend walking or taking a cab to the meetup place because you will be a little more drunk then you'd expect from three pints. Our tour guide John and Marrina were super friendly and knowledgeable about everything Minneapolis related. The whole experience was very fun, professional and was definitely a highlight of Minneapolis for me visiting from Canada.

Our office booked the bus tour looking for something a little different while in Minneapolis and we were not disappointed. John and James put together a four stop tour at some of the best in the city. Other than a small mix up about the starting time, we enjoyed the company of Eric our driver and John the beer expert. We started with Dangerous Man and a great chocolate milk stout, then onto the Sociable Cider Works for a unique taste and concept, then off to Boom Island for the sampler stick and finally to Fulton as we were going to the twins game. The bus was comfortable and the home made pretzels were to die for. This tour is highly recommended by these Canadians and we know our beer eh!!

I had a blast on my first Bitter Minnesota tour. The tour guide made sure everyone was set up to enjoy the evening and our driver Eric was a pro. It's so cool to be able to hit up three distinct venues and not have to worry about anything except what beer to try. Would gladly do again...
