Our tour guide's name was Hannah & she was very nice. She said she had just started with the company not that long ago. We liked the fact that we were picked up @ our hotel so that we did not have to worry about which way was the correct route to see Old Faithful & that lunch was provided which was fresh & good. My complaint would be that I am not sure if it was the training or lack of which maybe with so much information to remember it just was not that smooth. We would ask her questions & she was not sure & said she could google that. She would point to things on the right but said they are on the left. Confusing. Communication was not strong either as to where to meet & how much time did we have to view Old Faithful. This is important since there are so many people there & I do not have her cell # in case we could not find her when she was parking the van. For $220.00 per person I expect the tour guide to at least have a basic concept of Yellowstone & here is a suggestion to maybe have a cheat sheet nearby to refer to. I understand everyone has to start someplace but she really needs to study up more of the information of this beautiful destination. This was on my bucket list like I am sure a lot of people are & kind of expensive & I feel we got cheated on the tour part of really learning about Yellowstone. Another thing I do not understand we gave her our park passes for a national park & should we be reimbursed for that? We did tip her but felt we wished we had more of a seasoned tour guide. Hey Susan, Thank you for writing in a review.Im glad that you are understanding.Yellowstone is 2.2 million acres and there is a lot to remember.Hannah is new.She knows the information but when you’re just starting out it’s like being on stage. She young and I’m sure very nervous. It takes years upon years to know everything, and yet we never will know everything about Yellowstone. There are thousands of books to read and the resource books are like dictionaries.I remember when I first started it was so difficult to get out all of the information about each thing that you see in Yellowstone. To be a guide you have to learn biology, the ecosystem,Wildlife, foliage, volcanoes, history, etc. So Yes in the beginning until you get your rhythm down it can be difficult.Im sure everybody in the world had started a new job and mess up a bit in the beginning.Or mess up occasionally because at my age I have brain farts and have to remember things. If the cost of your tour was $220.00 per person then you were given a discount for having your card. The regular price is $250.00 per person so you saved 60$ for having your parks pass.Thank you again and safe r=travels in the future.I appreciate you understanding how difficult it is to start a new job.

My husband, almost-Eight-year-Old grandson and I enjoyed a lovely tour yesterday with Heather and Jeremy (trainee). From the easy, on-time pickup at the hotel to the drop off back at the hotel, our guides were cheerful, knowledgeable, and courteous. Both grew up in Cody and could add stories of personal experiences to the scientific information about geology and animals. The picnic lunch and snacks were delicious. Heather and Jeremy were full of “can do” and “no problem” as they tailored some activities to interest a child spending a long day in a van and also to consider a man who needed help with a walker. We found the tour well worth the cost as we considered the challenge of picking the best spots to visit in the massive south loop of Yellowstone.
