This tour was one of my favorite parts of our trip. A tour of the island can really only be as great as your guide and we got LUCKY. Cousin Maia was very knowledgable about the spots we visited and Hawaiian culture and history in general. I learned so much! There was also a friendly and communal feel encouraged amongst the 24 of us on the bus. He even got in a bit of military history and shared some top-secret bonus facts with us ;-) It's hard to know which circle island tour to book as so many tours/companies go out to the same places. I honestly selected this tour because the groupon pricing was so reasonable ($54 pp with a promo code). Sounds like some of the folks with bad experiences had bad tour leaders. If you're still deciding and the date is close (we only booked 3 days in advance), you may want to call the company and confirm who your tour guide will be. Look for the names that come up repeatedly as stellar in these reviews. I can promise that if you get Cousin Maia, you will be in good hands. Side note: As one other reviewer mentioned, it's DEFINITELY a good idea to bring water shoes down to the beach for snorkeling. Whether or not you wind up in the water, that sand is HOT and you will want some protection.

Want a way to see everything on the island? Well this is your Tour. From the Dole Pineapple Farm to the Amazing Shrimp Farms, and beaches! This is an all in one tour that is well worth the money. The Tour Guide is very knowledgeable about the entire Island, and this is a must do Attraction! With family or a partner or even alone!

The tour was great, but it started off a bit questionable. We booked our tour online and made sure we weren't booking with the other tour company with the similar name that also apparently had a groupon. Received our confirmation email with two different pick-up times, which was confusing. Responded to email to confirm time and they promptly responded with the time. Morning of, received a phone call with an updated pick up time, which was excellent, but then I asked what to watch for as far as a pick up vehicle and the response was, "I don't know'. Arrived at destination for pick-up and driver wasn't there...waited five or so minutes...still no driver. Called a number and they said "you're driver isn't there? He's coming." Waited some more, and driver didn't come, so called a different number and then they provided me with the driver's number to call. Right when I was about to call, the driver showed up. So hard to say if the confusion was due to laid back spirit (which I do love, but when booking a tour you like to have confirmed times, possibly contact numbers, etc), or just general lack of organization. Come to find out later from our awesome tour guide (he was FANTASTIC) that the confusion in the morning during pick up time, may have been because he was helping the Aloha Circle Island Tour out for the day. Booked this tour based on other reviews, and even with the initial confusion that we experienced, I would book the tour again.
