Amelia Island Guided Kayak Tour of Lofton Creek

Overview
The Lofton Creek Kayak Tour is perfect for paddlers of any level, including children and beginners. It’s an intimate nature experience in which participants can expect to get up close and personal with turtles, alligators, snakes, otters, and occasionally, manatees. The terrestrial nature of the forest attracts pileated woodpeckers, red shoulder hawks, and the curious anhinga, sometimes referred to as the “water turkey.” The protected makeup of Lofton Creek means paddling here is “weather resistant” to tumultuous coastal conditions. A south-bound paddle on Lofton Creek provides picturesque marsh views, whereas a north-bound paddle is a more remote, forested experience. The Lofton Creek Kayak Tour is a guaranteed good time for everyone in your group!

The kayak tour was fun and relaxing. Our two tour guides were great. Saw a couple alligators and lots of turtles. Worth the time and money.

Overall a great guide and good tour. The guide took plenty of photos but very few were posted on the website. In fact there were no photos of my family on the website to download. I’m very disappointed in that. I did not take photos as the guide said they would all be posted for us.

Note: We took the Private Boat to of Cumberland Island. For some reason, Trip Advisor doesn't offer that as an option for this review.) My wife and I had a great boat trip to Cumberland Island. We were able to see the wild horses, which was our bucket list item. Thomas was friendly and informative, the scenery was great, and the high tide allowed the boat to navigate into the marsh on Cumberland. Another highlight was watching a Navy sub head out to sea. Very cool. Net time we visit I'd like to take a kayak trip with them. I highly Recommend Amelia Island Adventures.
