Only on Hilton Head and only in Harbour Town can you sail aboard the real America's Cup, 12 meter, Stars & Stripes once skippered by the famous Dennis Connor. All trips take place under full sail. We only use our motor to get in and out of Harbour Town.

We don't offer any infant rates for this trip as the tickets are a per person rate. All ages will need a ticket.
Stars & Stripes is USCG approved to carry up to 30 passengers, but since COVID we have limited public capacity to 20 passengers.
Private charters are available for Stars & Stripes. Please contact Vagabond Cruise if you are interested to learn more about this option.

The crew was very friendly and the afternoon sail was wonderful. We all enjoyed ourselves. They searched for and were able to find some dolphins, which was a highlight of the sail. However, we did have a couple people with us that had difficulty sitting on the floor. They sail with a maximum of 20, but it looked like there were only 3 seats across the back; otherwise people had to sit on the floor.

Great experience sailing on the Stars and Stripes. I love that they give you the option to help sail the boat. I do wish they gave you some history on the boat, I did google it after the sail and it's a great come back story.

The America's Cup 12-Meter Yacht Sunset Sail from Hilton Head is a MUST DO! I was originally scheduled for the 4:00 pm sail but the weather was a little yucky. Vagabond quickly had me scheduled on the 6:00 pm with no fuss even thought the sunset cruise was slightly more expensive. Before boarding the boat, Captain Ron took a picture of each group! It was super nice and unexpected. While sailing, everyone was given the opportunity to steer the boat! I truly enjoyed this part of the experience as I was actually steering the boat! The group was wowed by a pod of dolphins that followed the boat for approximately 30 minutes! They played in the water and provided lots of photo opportunities. Captain Ron was also awesome at taking pictures of the guests with those 'just right' shots! The entire crew was personable. Kelly and Wyatt made the trip even more relaxing! We toured the sound for about an hour and a half and were gifted with the most beautiful sunset! We returned to port as the sun was completely down but the captain made docking the boat at night look easy! This is a must do while in Harbour Town!
