The grounds and gardens of Barrington Hall - built in 1839, the Greek-Revival style home and grounds contain the oldest public garden in Georgia

Archibald Smith Plantation Home

The outbuildings of Smith Plantation - built in 1845, the Plantation still contains original outbuildings such as the cookhouse, slave quarters, barn and carriage house

Very historical location, despite it being outside of the city. Beautiful place, lovely guide and overall one of the best experiences in Atlanta.

Our private tour guide was Melinda and she is amazing!!! We are locals but I still learned MANY things I didn't know about where I live! She picked us up in her (large) vehicle and drove us around. The tour was 3 hours long but we chatted so much it ended up being 3 1/2 hours long and Melinda didn't rush us or do anything to make our experience less enjoyable. We even arrived 15 minutes late to the tour so she really put up with us and did a wonderful job! I highly recommend Dtours for the Antebellum Atlanta tour we learned so much history, including many facts about Gone with the Wind and even some movie locations (Marvel movies, Sweet Home Alabama, Baby Driver, Anchorman 2, so many!!!).

We live in Roswell and I got this as a birthday gift for my history buff wife. Our guide Melinda was absolutely awesome. She was super knowledgeable and just all around pretty cool to talk to. We got MUCH more than the typical tour of the Roswell homes. We had tons of questions and Melinda was more than happy to answer them. I would highly suggest this to anyone visiting or even locals that don't have a real grasp all the cool stories behind where you live.
