We knew it would be a long day but had hoped it was worth it. ABSOLUTELY! We are typically go our own way kind of folks. That being said, it was wonderful to ride along an learn more about the areas we were driving through as well as the people and places we visited. Dom was our guide and he was amazing. Lots of opportunity to stop if needed for bathroom breaks, snack breaks, etc. Our group was efficient, so we got to see the Glen Canyon Dam as a bonus. Horseshoe Bend has a .62 mile walk which took us about 14-17 minutes depending on which way. The return walk has an incline so be prepared to take it a bit easy if needed. Antelope Canyon was beautiful. You do have to have Navajo guide so we were transferred to another company's bus for that portion of the journey. They were awesome. Ride to Antelope Canyon is off road for a brief section so it is a bit bumpy. We chose to ride in the back row to get the most bumps but the ride was less bumpy in the front of the bus. The guide for Antelope Canyon helped us get all the best angles and most beautiful photographs. Although there are lots of groups in the Canyon at one time they move you through but I didn't feel rushed. Lunch was good and efficient. Pricey day trip, although worth every penny! Picked up at 6:30am and returned to our hotel at 5:40pm.
