Our driver, Kurt R., was very professional, courteous and personable. Very accommodating to our needs. Not only was he an excellent driver, he was very informative about the region's various history, geography and ecology. I learned a lot which made me appreciate the trip even more.

Our day started early and the ride to the first spot was super quick. The Horseshoe Bend was very beautiful. The stop at the dam was great but we would have lived another fifteen minutes to read all the displays. Our driver Jeff was very interesting and informative along the way and answered all our questions. We arrived at a delicious lunch and got to chat with Jeff and everyone on the bus while we ate. We arrived at Antelope Canyin and we left our driver and were passed on to Mario who was supposed to be an amazing tour guide. He was very abrupt and stern and spoke very low. He took all our phones and took pictures for us and some he took on his own phone and never airdropped them to us when asked by multiple guests. He changed the settings on some of our phones as well. He refused to take any single photos of guest even if both parts of the couple agreed to only have one of them in the photo. There were fourteen in our group and a lot of people were rumbling and complaining about Mario. The canyon was unbelievably beautiful but the trip was slightly tainted by Mario and his abrupt and sometimes even rude behavior. The ride home with Jeff was great. The only reason I left four stars was because of Mario and his attitude. I felt forced to tip him and regret doing so as I don’t believe he deserved anything. As I said, the overall trip was a five star day including Jeff but Mario was a big disappointment. I read other reviews about him and they were very similar. It is a shame because he is a reflection of the entire Navajo nation and his behavior was not a good reflection on the Navajo people. My sister in law did the trip last year and after coming back and telling her she said they had a fabulous Navajo guide so I guess we just lost out on that.

Thank you for the complimentary review. It is regretable that your guide in the canyon was not satisfactory. We have forwarded your complaint to them for review.
