I will start by saying that our tour guide, Tim, was amazing. He was very nice and knowledgeable and was fantastic. But the tour itself was a major letdown. The Arctic Circle is really far away and you are essentially driving out to be on the road for 16 hours to get out and take a picture next to a sign. They try to add on other things to see but it isn't worth it. You get to see a pipeline (not that exciting), and you get to stop at a "Trading Post" (that is closed), and get to stop and see the Yukon River (that is frozen over and covered in snow). And there are no good restrooms along the way. The "restrooms" are literal outhouses that are covered in frozen urine and ice. It was disgusting. And then, the tour company canceled the last portion of my tour without warning. Again, the driver was amazing, but the tour is not at all worth it.

Dear Amanda,
Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. It does sound like we didn't make a good match on expectations for the tour and what you would see and experience.
For others I would like to expand a bit more of the picture. We appreciate Amanda you choose to add the Aurora portion to your tour and it can be a great addition as others will read in other reviews. However, yes, it was canceled..."With No Warning" - the stop we make was broken into that day and they stole fuel and generator for heat and other damage that day. We were not warned it was going to be broken into and could not warn you. However, due to this unfortunate situation we did last minute cancel the Aurora portion of the tour for that evening. We did refund you for the missed aurora portion.
We again are glad you enjoyed your time with Tim and are sorry the region wasn't what you were expecting to witness and see.
We hope you enjoyed the rest of your travels to Alaska.
