The building was huge. We ended up spending four hours with our guide, who was fantastic. Then we stayed another two hours. It was an amazing day.

Marlin was terrific. He is a born storyteller, and made good use of that talent on our tour. Marlin tells the stories behind the paintings and sculptures, including the lives of the artists. He was very considerate, allowing us to sit and study a painting, while he explained what we were seeing. His enthusiasm for art made his presentation a lot of fun. The materials and links that he has emailed us will extend our enjoyment of the tour. We will look for Marlin as a tour guide when we get back to Chicago.

Marlin is a fantastic guide. He contacted me by text a day before to give me contact information and get acquainted. At this time we scheduled a time for Marlin to meet me at my hotel lobby. This way we were able to walk together to CAI and I could see several of Chicago’s sculptures and landmarks along the way. This was my favorite part, and we had not even arrived at the museum. CAI is amazing. I enjoyed all the art I did get to see, but I need a couple of days to see it all. Marlin shares his love and passion for art and Chicago in a story which helps a person retain the wealth of information received during time with him. This tour was the highlight of my visit to Chicago. Prepare for a lot of walking. It’s well worth it.
