This was our first visit to Chicago. Our tour guide, Joe, really made the experience memorable. We saw a good sample of works and Joe gave us great analysis as well as context for the various pieces. Joe was so good, I wish I were one of his students!

We also had Joe as our tour guide and he was excellent. He certainly knows just about everything there is to know about the artwork there- I might even say his knowledge is encyclopedic. Not only did he describe the artist’s techniques but also their environment and their social conditions when they were alive. Very informative, entertaining and just so much fun. Joe is a true gentleman. We loved spending time with him and would highly recommend any tour he leads.

Joe was an amazing tour guide!!!! We really learned a lot and I think this is the only way to see the museum!! Even if you have been there a few times - like we have been. Our only complaint was that we arrived with 10 minutes to spare to the meeting spot and the tour had already (started early) so we missed the beginning of the tour. We waited outside thinking our tour guide didn't show up. We had to make some phone calls to figure out that even though we were there 10 minutes early the tour had already started. Finally the tour guide came out to find us. That was pretty annoying.
