Overview

There is no better way to DISCOVER and EXPLORE Asheville! Hop-on board one of Gray Line’s nostalgic trolleys for a fully narrated journey, highlighting the history, homes, hang-outs and hot spots of this “city of surprises.” The complete tour (one loop) lasts approximately 90 to 100 minutes. There is an additional 15 minute stop at the Asheville Visitor Center.

Tour Highlights include Downtown Asheville, Montford Historic District, The Grove Park Inn and Grove Park Historic District, Thomas Wolfe District, Pack Square and Asheville Art Museum, Grove Arcade, River Arts District, and South Slope Brewing District

Trolley hours vary by season. April - October (daily, every 30 minutes), November (daily, every 60 minutes), December - February (Mon, Thurs, Fri, Sat, every 60 minutes), March (daily, every 60 minutes). *Please Note: Final departures are for re-boarding passengers only.

This was a super tailored tour that hit all of the high points in Asheville that a normal tourist wouldn’t visit. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and he had a good sense of humor which added significantly to the tour.

We had enough people sign up from our group that we had a private trolley. This was a great way to see the city without having to negotiate the congested streets, and we were able to disembark at the Grove Park Inn to look around and have a drink at the bar and then return to the trolley for the trip back to our hotel. Our driver, Matt, was knowledgeable and friendly, and this tour was one of the highlights of our trip. If you love architecture, history, art, music, food or craft beer, Asheville is the place for you!

Was our first time to Asheville. This tour hits and helps you learn about a lot of the areas in town. Easy on/easy off. Your ticket is good for two days as well so you don't feel pressured to try to do it all in one day. Great information on the tour and knowledgeable funny tour guides. Walt was great, he even extended the tour for us to get us back to the stop we need after his shift. What great service. Over the two days we had several drivers and each one had a unique style and different tidbits you can learn about he city. Would totally recommend this tour. Also, trolleys are pet friendly (as much of Asheville is and we saw several people bring dogs on board. Super cool. Oh and free parking at visitor center if you drive into town.
