This is where troops rallied before the "Battle of Asheville" in the Civil War. Southern ghosts still violently shove some people to the ground, and spectral drums are heard beating in the night.

What can I say, it was amazing. Tadd is straight up the best tour guide I’ve ever had. His command of the crowd (which was freaking huge, and he still kept everyone engaged and entertained), the stories themselves, the pacing, everything was awesome. I couldn’t recommend it/ him enough. It was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to go again! Tadd rocks!

Really interesting Asheville history. Great tour guide. Be prepared to walk and stand over 2+ hours but it’s worth it. Downtown Asheville’s history is fascinating
