What To Expect
1
Pack Square
An Asheville mayor killed himself in the Jackson building. How may people have jumped from the top? And why is there a bulls-eye on the sidewalk below? Learn about the ghoul of the old jail, Thomas Wolfe's ghost, Helen's Bridge, and more!
2
Grove Arcade
Hear the controversial story of the murder of Helen Clevenger in the Battery Park Hotel, and why a blood-red haze is said to appear around her murder-room window on the anniversary of the tragedy.
3
Basilica of Saint Lawrence
This building's architect is entombed in the wall of this church, and his apparition is seen roaming in the night, gazing, in awe, at the world-class dome he constructed with a secret method.
4
Thomas Wolfe Memorial
The spirits of the great author (Look Homeward, Angel), and his brother, roam the halls of this storied mansion. Thomas Wolfe even wrote about spirits before he died at age 37. Wait till you hear the full story!
5
Pritchard Park
This is where troops rallied before the "Battle of Asheville" in the Civil War. Southern ghosts still violently shove some people to the ground, and spectral drums are heard beating in the night.

Great walking tour of beautiful sites with eerie stories. Guide was engaging and knowledgeable. Thoroughly entertained and spooked!

Great stories, way too crowded. They need to cap at 20. Tad did a great job wrangling our group, but it was just too big, completely took away from the experience. Tadās a great storyteller and gave lots of interesting details.

If we had capped it at 20, you would not have been able to go on the tour. Would you have preferred that?

Would not buy this again. The tour guide was rude because we were lost in the initial conversation we had. It made me angry enough to just not go on the tour. We walked with our gps to try to get to the location and were not able to get there in time. To begin a conversation with a paying customer with "hey, you booked a tour at 8, and it's 8. Where are you?" Was really rude and did not seem professional at all. I should have known something would be up when the language regarding refunds was NO REFUNDS EVEN IN A LIFE OR DEATH EMERGENCY. This was the last thing we booked for our vacation and it was the only sour part. Thanks Asheville Haunted Tours for being jerks at the end of our trip. Save your money and leave this part of Asheville alone. Unless you like being talked down to like a child.

You seem like a really nice person. A really nice, "angry," person. And please post a link to where it says "LIFE OR DEATH EMERGENCY." Or a screen capture. We'd love to see it.
