What To Expect
1
Pack Square
An Asheville mayor killed himself in the Jackson building. How may people have jumped from the top? And why is there a bulls-eye on the sidewalk below? Learn about the ghoul of the old jail, Thomas Wolfe's ghost, Helen's Bridge, and more!
2
Grove Arcade
Hear the controversial story of the murder of Helen Clevenger in the Battery Park Hotel, and why a blood-red haze is said to appear around her murder-room window on the anniversary of the tragedy.
3
Basilica of Saint Lawrence
This building's architect is entombed in the wall of this church, and his apparition is seen roaming in the night, gazing, in awe, at the world-class dome he constructed with a secret method.
4
Thomas Wolfe Memorial
The spirits of the great author (Look Homeward, Angel), and his brother, roam the halls of this storied mansion. Thomas Wolfe even wrote about spirits before he died at age 37. Wait till you hear the full story!
5
Pritchard Park
This is where troops rallied before the "Battle of Asheville" in the Civil War. Southern ghosts still violently shove some people to the ground, and spectral drums are heard beating in the night.

Christian was a great tour guide! Loved all the history and dark side of Asheville. This was our 3rd ghost tour and probably our favorite. I will definitely recommend to friends!!

Our guide was super knowledgeable and a great storyteller. Even if you donā€™t believe in the paranormal the historical aspect is quite intriguing by itself.

We signed up for both versions of the tour, one at the beginning of our weekend in Asheville and the other at the end. They ended up being the perfect bookends to a wonderful trip. We expected to enjoy them, but they exceeded expectations. We never could have guessed how much fun we would have and how interesting they would be. Tadd was our guide and he is absolutely terrific! He's definitely a character, but we thoroughly loved him! He's exceedingly good at what he does and is full of enthusiasm as well as being a font of fascinating information. We can't thank him enough for not only providing a wonderful experience but also for recommending one of the best podcasts we've ever listened to - "Old Gods of Appalachia", an anthology of ghost stories set in old Appalachia (couldn't help giving that shoutout as well). We can't recommend this tour highly enough.
