This is where troops rallied before the "Battle of Asheville" in the Civil War. Southern ghosts still violently shove some people to the ground, and spectral drums are heard beating in the night.

The Guide was nice, but too much back story and not enough of the paranormal. We did not enjoy the amount of people, it was excessive then having to stop and wait for the whole group to catch up, too many people talking. Took away from the experience.

Our tour had 89 people and we were very skeptical about how it would work with that many people. Tad - our guide - did a great job making sure everyone could hear and the locations we stopped at worked well for a large group. That said, I would have preferred a much smaller crowd.
