Astronomy Tour

Overview
A tour for all ages just outside of Boulder (accessible by Taxi, Lyft & Uber). Tours start at sunset and last for 2 hours. The show will explore the night sky with several large telescopes and a laser pointer. We will see and learn about planets, constellations, navigation, satellites, nebula, clusters, galaxies, maybe some shooting stars, and our universe. Through telescopes we will get up close looks at these objects and take in their beauty with our own eyes. The tour takes place at a easy to find trailhead (no hiking required) where phenomenal sunsets and wildlife are often seen. Guests are provided with a red flashlight, comfy camp seating, bug spray, snacks, hot water, tea, instant coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies. Guests are encouraged to bring questions, wonderment, and warm clothing (it can get cool after sunset)

My boyfriend and I just returned home from a 2 week road trip to Colorado. We experienced so many amazing, beautiful, tremendous sights it is difficult to choose the best. For our final night, we booked an astronomy "tour" near Boulder. Our "guide" was a very well informed astronomer who provided lots of telescopes, information, and stories about all manner of stars, planets, constellations, etc. I highly recommend this experience for anyone who has ever looked up and wondered about what's out there. It was a fascinating experience, never boring or dry. P.S. Wear warm clothes, the night air was chilly.

This was a great experience! My college son and I did this tour together. Luke has thought of everything to make the experience interesting and comfortable for everyone! From the vast knowledge and corny jokes he shares, to the comfortable chairs, the tea table and the cookies, one can tell he is passionate about what he does and has a strong desire to ignite wonderings in others. Highlights included (but are not limited to!) seeing Saturn, Bode's galaxy (a mere 12 million light years away!), and a chance-sighting of the ISS crossing the night sky! I highly recommend this to curious learners of all ages!

Wonderful experience. Luke is so nice and passionate about making sure everyone is having a great time. A must see if you’re in the area and want a night time activity in the nature. It’s 2 hours long, very easy to get to (lyft or uber + parking). Bring a warm jacket! It gets cold.
