Overview

Foodies wanted! Come enjoy diverse plates in the heart of Downtown Houston at some of city's most famous restaurants. This tour will begin at the Historic Market Square Park (outside Niko Niko's) where you will learn about Houston's rich history, beautiful architecture, & diversity of cultures.

The tour consists of 3 stops where you will try 8-9 delicious food samplings including authentic Mexico City cuisine, traditional Asian novelties, Houston's unique take on Italian-American, & dessert. These meals are pre-ordered & will be coming out fresh for your whole group. Guests will also enjoy views of the tallest building in Texas & private limited access into largest downtown tunnel system in the USA! (1/3 of tour spent in tunnels) We hope to be eating with you soon!

On this tour we will be going to some of Houston's hottest restaurants. At each of these restaurants your tour guide will point out the 2 tallest buildings in Texas, the building where the original State Capital, a memorial for 911, and much more!

Downtown Tunnels

Access to newest portion of the Downtown Houston Tunnel system which is largest in the United States and second in North America

This is a great idea to get to know about the city and enjoy a different kinds of food at the same time. Everything was very informative and interesting. We 100% enjoyed the time we spent on this Tour! I think this is the best way to explore the new city!

Wow! I have been on over a dozen food tours around the world in places like Venice, Shanghai, Glasgow, Montreal, and many in the United States and I must say the Astroville Food Tour was one of the best that I have experienced. Although this is a food tour, the tour guide really made it 5 stars. Many guides would cancel a tour with only two participants but Vanessa was game. She brought passion not only about the food but the city as well. We basically got two tours in one with her showing us around downtown Houston with tons of cool facts about the buildings, history, and seeing tunnels below the city and of course getting to eat at great restaurants. Since it was only myself and my girlfriend, she shaped the tour on the fly to show us different aspects of the city we were interested in. As for the food, we experienced a variety of dishes that were very tasty and unique as well that ranged from authentic Mexican to Italian flavors. Vanessa was very personable and we truly enjoyed talking with her during the tour. I highly recommend the tour for anyone in Houston and we plan to take the Astroville Bar Tour in the future.

Vanessa and Luis were great! Food was fantastic, love the fact that the food was all different. Great portions and absolutely loved all the history and facts they gave. As a local Houstonian, I learned a lot along with a great group of tourists. Definitely recommend it, a fantastic way to get a taste and view of the city!
