We just went on the tour for my Brother's birthday, and it was great! I am not a big beer drinker- I usually prefer Ciders or a lighter brew, but I found something delicious everywhere we stopped. I also loved taking home goody bags and souvenir cups! I would recommend to tour to anyone considering this festivity. :)

My wife and I enjoy beer tours/pub crawls and have been on them all over the world. As we live in Atlanta, we usually pick up on any groupon or livingsocial offers that we find. At 60 we are usually the oldest in the group. We had a great time with SBT. (Southern Beer Tours) We went to 3 breweries, Red Brick, Sweetwater and Blue Tarp. Red Brick is Atlanta's oldest and though we had been there before they're were new seasonal beers as well as old favorites. There is also a food vendor at Red Brick so you can get something in your stomach to help moderate the alcohol for the rest of the day. Sweetwater is probably the most famous and certainly the largest brewery in Atlanta. Great tour, great beer, funky decor and dog friendly (not the tour, but the tasting patio). One of our tour guides Kim used to work at Sweetwater and knew all of the staff. We got priority access to the tasting and tour by being with SBT. The last brewery, Blue Tarp, has just opened and their site is a bit rustic but their beer is fantastic. They have a limited distribution primarily in a few bars for now but the owners literally hand built their equipment. The consensus among the bus was their stout tied for the best beer on the tour. Another plus for SBT is that they net at the Lindbergh MARTA station which makes it easy to leave the tour with a buzz and still arrive home safe.
