We bought the family package. Five of us ranging from 71yrs old to 12yrs old.
The good: So....much....FUN!!! The entire family LOVED it! Even the ones who were skeptical. Don't worry, 1min is long enough; and you go twice. Other reviews complaining of it being too short probably spent half of their time trying to get stable. Listen to the instructors beforehand so that your time in the tunnel is spent flying. We saw too many people losing a lot of time because the instructor had to keep giving them corrective instructions. Also, it's more strenuous than it looks. You really use your muscles to hold the correct position. So possibly a good workout.
The bad: Your appt time is NOT the time for you to start anything. Wish we had known this because we arrived 15min before the appt time. You sit and wait for 30min after your appt time before they start your instruction session. So expect to spend a couple of hours for your 2min of flying. Also, it is not a private session. There's no separate waiting room. EVERYONE in the building can watch you fly. Think...fishbowl.
The disappointing: Weight restriction. If you're an average to stocky sized guy over 6'2" tall, you're probably near the max weight. So you'll miss out. We didn't realize the weight restriction until after we bought the package. It was hard to tell that family member they couldn't fly, but we ended up with a good substitute family member. (Thx to iFLy for allowing the reschedule)
