Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel is the meet-up location for all travelers. Good location that's using using Marta train riders, Uber/Lyft drop offs. The hotel has comfortable lobby seating, clean bathrooms, and Starbucks (opened 6am-1pm only) Parking is available, but isn't free! The parking garages and lots are located about one block from the hotel. Parking rates range $10-$30. Please arrive 15-20 min before tour departure.
Tour operates in all weather. Umbrella or rain poncho is recommended for for light rain. For extreme weather conditions, please call the phone number on your voucher to reconfirm tour operation.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 14 travelers
The morning tour starts from 9:30am-1:30pm and the afternoon tour 2:00pm-6:00pm

Jeff was our tour guide. He was able to educate us about the city of Atlanta and the history of the Civil Rights movement. The tour was very enlightening. We were able to see Tyler Perry studios (Outside), Dr. King’s birthplace, Hank Aaron 715 HR site, parts of Atlanta Housewives favorite places, the Olympic site, and more. Thank you Jeff for the education and great time!

This was my first visit to ATL. The tour included so many areas and Jeff, our host, shared SO much information and kept us all engaged in conversation. I will go on tour again when I return with other family.

Overall a great tour. The first half of the tour is absolutely excellent with a focus on Dr. King and the important locations in the city related to the civil rights movement. The second half of the tour drags a bit as it is more of a neighborhood by neighborhood tour of the city with not as much that is interesting or engaging. Our guide was exceedingly knowledgeable about the city and loved sharing with everyone.
