My son and I had a great time! It was actually 114 degrees when we went but it didn't really feel like it. Sherman was a great guide and provided lots of water along with a meal. We did lots of riding to several areas, beautiful scenery and Sherman had plenty of stories to tell about the area, especially the Gold Mine.
We took our own helmets because we had communication systems on them so I could talk to my son during the riding. That made it twice as fun. Although you don't need your own helmet it was just our choice.
Even though it was 114 out we still wore long pants and long sleeve shirts but you could probably get away with wearing shorts as long as you are careful on the atv's but there's a good chance of getting burnt from the engine heat.
If we go again we would probably do the RZR's, they were more capable then the atv's that were available but either ride is incredible. This isn't an extreme off-road adventure, the trails were mostly easy to navigate with a few exceptions.
The main feature is the places we went and the views we got to see plus the history. That being said we did a lot of riding so it was a very well rounded adventure in the Desert!
If you like riding, history and great views don't miss out on this 6-hour adventure!
