Aurora Lodge Viewing

Overview
The long nights in the Interior of Alaska provide amazing opportunities for Aurora (Northern Lights) viewing.

For our Aurora Lodge Viewing Tour, we select one of the best Aurora viewing lodges in the area, to give you not only the best chance possible, to view the Northern Lights, but also provide you with the comfort of a warm and safe area.

This is bringing the Aurora viewing to a whole new level. You will not only have a warm spot to wait for the Aurora to show up, but also have a great local tour guide with you. He or she will be able to answer all of  your questions and provide you with additional information.

After a convenient pick up from your hotel inside the city limits, we will leave the city lights behind us in our spacious vans ensuring each guests comfort.

PLEASE NOTE that visibility of the northern lights (aurora) is not guaranteed. It is a natural phenomenon we have no control over and no refunds will be given if the aurora cannot be seen.

We went on the Aurora Lodge Viewing last night with Linley from Alaska-Wildlife-Guide. The moon was full, the stars were out, and the sky was clear. The Aurora Borealis put on a great show for us. We took photos with our cell phones with an app called Northern Lights that we downloaded and we were able to get some photos. The Aurora Lodge, hosted by Cory, was great. Cory even took photos of our family with the Aurora in the background using his great camera. The facility was new with great restrooms and a comfortable place to wait for the Aurora while drinking coffee or hot chocolate, eating cookies and playing games. There was also a screen with the University of Alaska fish-eye camera, so we could see the Aurora approaching. Linley was very helpful to us while taking photos and answering all of our questions. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and we did get to see the Aurora!

Our tour guide was Ken-Dave and he was excellent. I let him use my camera and he took lots of pictures so that we could enjoy looking at the Northern Lights as they were happening. Ken-Dave was an excellent tour guide and we really loved the hostess at the Aurora Pointe Activity Center--she is also an excellent photographer and took many pictures that she posted to her website and gave us access to that website so that we could look at them when we got home. The lodge itself is topnotch. Bathrooms are super clean and have everything you would want or need including changing table, ect. I would highly recommend this trip to everyone! We were there twice during our trip to Alaska. First night was on February 28th, 2019 and 2nd night was on March 2nd, 2019. Our 2nd night guide was named Ricky and he was also excellent.

The weather is good, there is a smooth shot to the luminous light, the owner of the cottage is very hospitable, telling everyone why the luminous light is generated, and how to follow the luminous light, cold weather, can wait in the warm cottage, there is a luminous light to take pictures, the cottage also provides wifi, but the signal on the viewing table is not good. Our shuttle drive was not so good, she initially went the wrong way, missed the wrong place, causing us to be about an hour late to the right place, and finally did not extend the time of departure, making the time of shooting the highlight relatively less, which is a more unfortunate part. In addition, it is a very Recommendation.
