Although we hit Austin during a cold front, we put on our coats and still headed out for a great e bike tour, which was probably our favorite activity of the trip. What a fabulous way to see downtown Austin and South Congress. We may never do a walking tour ever again! Our family of 3 adults had our own tour guide to ourselves and she was so fun! A resident of 30+ years in Austin, she had a plethora of information, fun facts, cool history and many stories to tell about this fun city. We also ate amazing food along the way, at food trucks and restaurants. Since it was cold and there were only 4 of us, we toured the library, which is so cool! A fun side stop (we needed for warmth!). I would highly recommend this tour, especially if your visiting the first time, like we were. Austin is an amazing place, and with a fun guide to show you the ins and outs, you can't go wrong on this tour.

Brunch tour ? We had none of the brunch food mentioned above ...very little food to speak of . The best treat was a turducken sandwich cut into six bites ! Heard about tacos , ice cream and BBQ but only got tex- Mex One friend said it was the worst bike tour she had ever been on . Very little Austin history or fun facts .,one leader had something to say but only could hear her if riding near her . The "leaders " did not seem to have a plan and bickered a lot .One leader should be at the front and one at the rear of the group ...then maybe people would not get lost or left behind ...the bikes were not charged properly . One person lost power of course on a hilly part of trip . Not recommended especially for the price !

We sincerely apologize for your less then exceptional tour experience. And Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We see feedback as a gift, and this helps us learn to do better. We are not a cookie cutter type of tour company, we are a non profit advocacy group, our guides love what they do and are always learning better ways to communicate and navigate our ever changing city. Austin is ever changing, Food stops and the routes that day were more congested with roads being blocked off due to the Marathon. Which throws everyone off of our normal routes and places we love to take our riders to. We do not go to the same food stops every tour, but we also poll our riders before the tour to make sure about any dietary restrictions. We take the condition of our bikes very seriously. However, as we ride along streets in Austin, as with any bike, things happen. sometimes our batteries may "jiggle" a little bit and lose contact if going over bumpy terrain, and we are so sorry this happened to you! We do hope that on your next trip to Austin that you will please give us another try. We have also refunded your ride to your lead person. Thank you Faith Schexnayder- BikeTexas Tour Mgr.
