Segway Nation offers its 2.5 hour Ghost and Bat Segway tour once daily. Our Ghost and Bat Segway tour is offered once daily at 7:00 PM. Bats are seasonal and usually fly from March to October every year. This approximately 2.5 hour Segway tour is designed to be a fun nighttime Segway adventure through downtown Austin. We visit some of Austin's haunted downtown hotels and buildings, plus we Segway to some of Austin’s famous landmarks. Some of this Segway Tour’s Highlights include seeing the world’s largest urban bat colony of about 2 million Mexican Free-Tailed Bats • The Texas State Capitol Building • Haunted Hotels • Haunted Historic Buildings • Town Lake/Lady Bird Lake • Austin Convention Center • 6th Street Music and Entertainment District • Austin’s Moonlight Towers • Many other great historic sites • Plenty of time to play on your Segway, lots of fun facts and time for great photos!

When we arrived it was nice to know that no other group was booked for the same time slot that we booked so we had the tour to ourselves but then very disappointed that there are no bats after October and no plans to compensate for that particular fact. Standing over a bridge for 30 minutes with no bats in sight and temperatures in the 50's is not something we were expecting. We only went to 2 landmarks and no history of the Capital of Texas. Two ghosts stories in which we couldn't hear anything that was being said. I would highly recommend some type of speaker system or walky talkies, so that we could hear the little that was being said. The tour guide got a little too comfortable and used profanity on some occasions. "F" bomb is not professional!!!

Let me start by saying I am 68 years old and have never ridden a segway. Our Tour Guide Jordan was excellent, he made me feel very confident with his one on one riding lesson. I absolutely loved the experience. It was the most fun thing I have done in many years. Will absolutely do this again!!!

Our guide, Joshua, was excellent! Very knowledgeable about Austin and a pleasant person to be around. He did a great job teaching my wife and me how to operate the segways. It was our first time and before the end of the tour we felt very comfortable maneuvering.
