All of our guides have individual and unique ties to the Amish community and have always enjoyed showing off the “true” Lancaster County. This rich, immersive experience is personally designed to give you a rare window into the authentic Amish culture. Every meal is an amazing experience!

What To Expect

Amish Country

We will meet in Lancaster and drive through the Amish countryside learning about the Amish culture with a narrated tour of a few stops -

1719 Museum (formerly 1719 Hans Herr House & Museum)

Narrated driving tour passing by the oldest settlement in Lancaster, a visit to one of our 29 historic covered bridges, and background of Amish history and culture on the way to our host family.

I cannot recommend this tour enough! Mr. Dale was so friendly and knowledgeable, and the family we ate with could not have been kinder. Such a wonderful way to experience Lancaster and learn about the Amish community. This is a must-do!

We plan our entire trip to Lancaster around this experience and we’re called the night before our reservation to tell us it was canceled. The representative offered no alternative experience for us and did not compensate us in any way. I would have appreciated a future discount or even a one person free for future, but nothing. We traveled quite a distance and were so very disappointed. I realize things like this come up, but feel it is bad business not to compensate us for our trouble or offer any alternative ideas.
