We offer the only electric beach cruiser on Hilton Head Island. Our bikes were designed by the Avocado Team from the ground up, are easy to operate, function like any bicycle, but provides an ease that our customers rave about. We have 5-star ratings from all our users.

Our Electric beach Cruisers are safe and reliable. Power shuts off when you stop pedaling. We have a range of 40 miles.

We’ve rented electric bikes in other places but this is the first time we’ve rented from Avocado Bikes. We had the best experience here. Dakota Lackey is the general manager and what a super nice guy he is! He was funny and great to work with. He got us all fitted for the bikes, explained how to use them and went over the bike and island rules efficiently and sent us off for the day. We did a full day (had the bikes for 24 hours) and it was $50 per person - well worth the price! While the bikes work a little differently than the ones we’ve used in the past, we liked these so much better. Easy to use and very easy to control. There were three couples in our group so we got three baskets to hold water bottles, wallets and the locks for the times we got off our bikes to explore or have lunch. Get the basket - it’s worth it! We will definitely rent from Dakota again and can’t recommend this place enough.

We rented Avocado e-bikes again this winter while staying on HiltonHead Island. We enjoyed every mile! It was easy on our aging joints and we’ll do it again next year! Thank you Dakota and Avocado Bikes.

With a huge number of bike rental shops on Hilton Head it's tough to choose one you know will give you a great, road worthy bike AND great customer service. Our hotel had an ad for Avocado Bikes but we weren't sure whether that was any guarantee of a good experience. We drove to the shop and were greeted by Dakota. He was friendly and exceptionally helpful in regards to helping us plan our ride, the best size bike, and even provided some restaurant suggestions. Prices were very reasonable, and less than our hotel was offering for the same bike! The bikes were easy to ride and made for a very enjoyable half day. Be sure and hit the beach for part of your ride. I highly recommend Avocado Bikes if you are going to be touring Hilton Head on an electric bike.
