Bagels, Dumplings, Pizza, & Tacos: A New York Food Crawl

Overview
Bagels, Dumplings, Pizza, & Tacos is fun, insightful and an absolute feast for the senses, usually visiting the Lower East Side, Chinatown, and more.

Eat 4 iconic foods that escaped their cultures of origin to have a big impact on NYC and beyond.

We’ll visit some old standards and some rising stars as we explore the food and the beautiful places they're served, making a total of 4-6 food stops. You’ll be full.

BUT this is not your normal food tour. We don't follow a fixed route. Instead the experienced, licensed guide will get the pulse of the group and draw from a big bag of options to make each outing more personal, memorable, and unique.

We are always learning more about the city, and that's how we can run these organic, informal events that are less scripted and more like an eclectic group of friends out for a food crawl in the city.

Wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to walk. We cover a lot of ground and often eat standing up!

It was my first time doing a food tour in NYC, and I was unsure what to expect, especially during Christmas week. Morgan was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the neighborhood, the food that has become American staples through this neighborhood, and the context of immigration and space within one of Manhatten's most culturally significant neighborhoods. Morgan's passion for the neighborhood, history, and food is extremely evident in his tour. He was easy to talk to and offered a spontaneous neighborhood tour that fits the experience he is trying to capture of discovering local restaurants through wandering. I will say this tour is not for everyone. It is spontaneous and unplanned and can result in stopping at places with a long line that pivots the tour to accommodate the ever-changing landscape of NYC. My girlfriend and I did not mind this, but you may not enjoy Morgan's style if you are looking for a rigid tour that takes you to famous eateries and ends at a specific time. For us part of the fun was experiencing the neighborhood unplanned. Morgan did a great job rolling with the challenges that a holiday week tour can provide in NYC. This included changing locations and extending the tour to ensure everyone was satisfied with the experience. Morgan ended the tour by showing us a rooftop bar that offered excellent views of the Empire State Building, Freedom Tower, and Brooklyn Bridge. The experience offered a great ending to the evening.

Morgan was great nothing but over the top has a lot of knowledge of the city, and took us to places we would have never thought about going to or knew about. He makes u feel comfortable asks you what you’d like to do or see first in the sight seeing or if you’ve been there and seen certain things what are your interest. He showed us so many lil shops I would of never went into that made me feel like a kid today one being a candy shop with everything you could think of in it that Willy wonka would be jealous, and my favorite part of it “Old cards” un opened like “Alf “G.I.Joe” “garbagepailkids” any baseball, hockey, basketball, etc. The food he has on his tour is awesome especially the bagel sandwich I believe it’s called the New Yorker it had corned beef, egg ,cheese and hash browns. One of our stops that was really cool being an artist is freeman’s alley with a lot of artists that are well known now, and had the chance to see and meet one of them while doing his art work and all the way from Germany he came just to have a pice in NY, our last stop but was beautiful and over the top for sure was The Crown rooftop bar where we bought a drink for him seen some amazing views and got to relax kick back for a few and talk amongst us looking over the city, Thanks again Morgan!!

If you're looking for the ultimate food adventure in New York City, this tour is a must! Our guide, Morgan, made the entire experience unforgettable. His passion for the city's food culture was palpable, and his extensive knowledge added so much depth to every stop we made. From the first bite of warm, fresh bagels to the last dumpling, we were treated to a variety of iconic NYC eats. Morgan took us through different neighborhoods, giving us a true sense of the city's rich culinary history along the way. His stories about each food stop and the diverse cultures that influence New York’s food scene were just as enjoyable as the tastings themselves. Morgan’s energy and enthusiasm were contagious, and it was clear he genuinely loves sharing his city with others. He also gave us great local recommendations to check out after the tour. If you want to experience New York through its food in a fun, authentic way, this tour is the perfect choice. Highly recommend it! Thank you, Morgan, for making this such a memorable experience!
