Too expensive for the service. Food average. They were accommodating but still it is too expensive for what is offered

Some friends recommended this trip to us and although it’s a little on the pricey side, it is absolutely worth it. The night time views of the city are spectacular and we even stopped right next to the Statue of Liberty for about 8 minutes so that all the guests had ample time to take photos. There’s a subtle commentary from time to time that points out a few famous landmarks, but it is not on all the time and is not at all obtrusive. The live music was out of this world so a big big well done to the band. Their choice of music was fun with a great array of modern songs with some favourite oldies too. The food was great but I must say a big big well done to Randy, our waiter. He was attentive, professional and was able to answer all our questions. My husband owns several restaurants back at home in the UK and he said he’d employ him anytime he wants a job in England!!

I would like to write this review as I would like to say thank you to the Manager Sven who showed such kindness when I became upset on this trip. It was my first time in USA and I had been struggling with the lack of coeliac options whilst sightseeing in the City of New York. My group had not included my gluten free requirements and when the waiter told me the only options available to me where green salad and ribs with no sauce- I became tearful. My group were unsympathetic and felt I was ruining their experience and I felt deeply let down and struggled to hold back my distress. Sven came over and knelt next to me - letting me know that he would arrange anything I wanted in their kitchen, and to let him know if there was anything at all he could get for me. This kindness was appreciated beyond belief as I was reassured in my moment of need that the human spirit is amongst us even when things look impossible. I work for UK police emergency services and had underestimated how stress had been affecting me and this customer service helped raise my spirits far beyond the delicious food that I enjoyed that night. Thank you so much- I would like to highly recommend Bateau dinner cruise for the outstanding customer service experienced by the manager Sven.
