What To Expect

Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

Take a brief shuttle to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center for a guided & interpretive tour of the animals. The center is Alaska’s premier rehabilitation facility for injured and orphaned wildlife. AWCC Tour runs 1.5 hours and includes walking and driving options to view the animals. A sack lunch is provided with this tour.

What a day! From the great train trip to the fantastic lunch, to seeing all the wildlife to getting up close to the glaciers - what a blast! The bus trip over and through pot holes to the boats is such a great memory! Ben made us laugh and along with all the guides, took care of everyone so we all had a great time. I can’t recommend this tour enough. A long, fun day!

We went to the Wildlife Conservation Center and on a iceberg float on Spencer Glacier Lake and it was amazing! Our tour guide for both tours was amazing! Stuart was a wealth of information, thank you so much!

It is a well organized tour with scenic views along the way. Our guide Jack is very pleasant and knowledgeable. He did an excellent job on introducing animals of AWCC and guiding our raft smoothly down the Placer River. We enjoyed the tour very much.
