We all thoroughly enjoyed our carriage ride through beautiful Beaufort. The tour was a good length and the guide was good. Sometimes I question some of the stories accuracy but it does make it interesting. A good carriage company overall.

I just returned from a wonderful Holiday Celebration with Family and Friends in Beaufort, SC and I'm so happy I took a carriage ride with Sea Island Carriage Co. Being a Cowgirl myself and from the Great State of Texas as well, What I saw of their horses, Doc and Merlin, were nothing short of well taken care of so I know not of what the poster ahead of me says about a white horse. Doc seemed a little too chubby but very tuned into his driver, Maryanne and Merlin was beautiful as we watched him pass by with his carriage filled of happy people. I can not ever believe that those two horses were ever abused by how we saw their gals pampering them and caring for them. My hats off to all those people down there that work with those horses for they keep history alive unlike so many others. Although, I did take note of a man with a blue shirt that appeared highly intoxicated although he worked for the company, I'm sure he was not driving any carriages. We were sure that was a good thing!

My wife and I recently took this tour while visiting Beaufort. I would highly recommend as the tour covered most of the sights in historic Beaufort and the driver was very knowledgeable of the history of Beaufort and the standing buildings in Beaufort.
