Overview

Middle Clear Creek is one of the greatest beginner rafting runs in the nation. With numerous rapids and historical significance, it is hard to deny the value. Although Clear Creek holds more rapids than most any other run in the US, the rapids of our Middle section are straight-forward and perfect for families with children or anyone else looking for something a bit easier. Rafters will also catch glimpses of Colorado's rich gold mining history and maybe even a miner or two as they splash down this unique stretch of whitewater.

Downstream Adventures was the highlight of our Breckenridge trip. Chaz was an outstanding guide. We were the only group on this trip with kids, we had one that was nervous, and he made everybody feel at ease and made the trip easy and a blast. Downstream Adventures is one of the smaller outfitters, so you get more personal attention, but they are very professional and make you feel safe. We left wanting more, and will be back.

We had a great time! We were nervous about rafting as we were first timers. The ride was great, no big rapids to speak of. The only regret we have is not booking the intermediate trip.

Our guide was easy to talk to, which made us feel very comfortable. Professional staff. Everyone seemed very knoweledgeable with lots of experience. Had a great 1st experience.
