Overview

Middle Clear Creek is one of the greatest beginner rafting runs in the nation. With numerous rapids and historical significance, it is hard to deny the value. Although Clear Creek holds more rapids than most any other run in the US, the rapids of our Middle section are straight-forward and perfect for families with children or anyone else looking for something a bit easier. Rafters will also catch glimpses of Colorado's rich gold mining history and maybe even a miner or two as they splash down this unique stretch of whitewater.

Our awesome guide Chaz led us on the beginner rafting trip. We had a diverse age group of 2 teenagers, mom and Dad in their 40’s and a 6 year old. The trip was fun for all ages and Chaz went above and beyond to add some extra fun to the trip! Highly recommend this company! We will definitely do this again next time we visit!

My whole family loved it and are looking forward to trying more level 3 rapids and beyond in the future. This was the first time whitewater rafting for our 12 and 14 year olds. Well run tour operation with excellent safety instructions. Tippy was a fun, laid back, and informative guide. Great time :)

We didn’t know what to expect as none of us had whitewater rafted before so, naturally, we chose the beginner course. It was super fun and definitely easy for anyone to take on. I’ll be back sooner rather then later to give the intermediate run a go. Chaz our guide was freaking awesome! He gave us a ton of fun facts about local places and history but it felt more like we were with a friend. He was really easy to talk to and made it fun/distracted those of us who were nervous initially. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND! Thanks Chaz and everyone at Downstream!
