Overview

Middle Clear Creek is one of the greatest beginner rafting runs in the nation. With numerous rapids and historical significance, it is hard to deny the value. Although Clear Creek holds more rapids than most any other run in the US, the rapids of our Middle section are straight-forward and perfect for families with children or anyone else looking for something a bit easier. Rafters will also catch glimpses of Colorado's rich gold mining history and maybe even a miner or two as they splash down this unique stretch of whitewater.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. This was my first time white water rafting and it was so much fun! My boyfriend and I went at 8:15 am which we were told is often a good time to spot some wildlife. When asked, staff was super helpful on what to wear, bring, etc. We loved there gift shop as well. So many cool options and not “basic” things like everywhere else. The gift shop also provides everything you may need to the trip from water shoes to sunglass straps (lots of options). Our guide was Tippy. He was so personable, made our experience comfortable and exciting even for our beginner level ride. Loved the experience and the outfitter organization.

We were two grandparents with our three 9 year old grandchildren. Downstream Adventures did and excellent job all the way around. Matt was our raft guide and was very patient with us and an excellent and experienced guide in every way. We would definitely recommend Downstream Adventures.

We did the beginner ride with Guide Sarah and had a blast. She is very experienced and a great teacher. We had an 8 year old with us who was paddling with the grown ups by the end of the trip. 10/10 for customer service and safety.
