Overview

Middle Clear Creek is one of the greatest beginner rafting runs in the nation. With numerous rapids and historical significance, it is hard to deny the value. Although Clear Creek holds more rapids than most any other run in the US, the rapids of our Middle section are straight-forward and perfect for families with children or anyone else looking for something a bit easier. Rafters will also catch glimpses of Colorado's rich gold mining history and maybe even a miner or two as they splash down this unique stretch of whitewater.

We chose Downstream Adventure as our choice for rafting and we were not let down. They were great teachers and our guide was very patient and knowledgeable (Tippy). We will surely choose them again

Great experience with a good outfitter, would recommend Chaz as a guide, he was very personable and made it a fun experience. Lyndsay at the front desk was very helpful and personable. The staff as a whole made it a fun day. We are definitely going back with the rest of the family to do it again for a full day!

A truly awesome time. Our guide Chaz was wonderful. He made us laugh and most importantly made us all feel safe. Most of us had never been river rafting but his sense of humor, kind nature and vast knowledge of the rivers ins ands outs eased all fears in the kids and adults. I was apprehensive about the whole thing at first and by the end, I was ready to do it all again. If you’re in Idaho Springs it’s a must!!
