My husband and I planned a trip to Napa for a few days and were looking for wine tours to book. I came across Napa Valley Bike Tours by looking at suggested activities on our B&B's website. After doing research, we decided to book a bike tour through their sister company in Sonoma Valley. We felt this was a great way to explore Sonoma since we were already doing a limo tour in Napa the following day. This bike tour and our guide were absolutely fantastic and we had so much fun although I was exhausted by the end of it. In total, we biked more than 17 miles to various wineries. The trails were mostly on small roads, so there was never a point where we feared for our safety (considering we were drinking the whole time, although not one person on our tour seemed drunk). I would highly recommend this tour.

It was so overwhelming trying to pick wineries to visit that my husband and I finally decided we needed a tour. We liked the idea of getting a little exercise on vacation (which can be a challenge) so we decided a bike tour was just the thing. We chose the all day Classic Sonoma Valley tour option. I can't say enough nice things about our experience with Sonoma Valley Bike Tours. Our tour guide Steve was super. He was extremely responsive to our desires with regards to the pace of the ride and what we wanted to see. We could easily have driven around between wineries and spent a lot of money slurping up samples, but with the bike tour you are really having "an experience". You ride through vineyards and learn about the area, and the wineries, and Steve knows the staff at the wineries, so you get very personal service from the wineries. It really was the highlight of our trip to Napa/Sonoma. When we return we will not hesitate to sign up with the sister-tour of Napa. One thing I would add - I am what my friends call a "lightweight", so one glass of wine at lunch is too much and at dinner is just enough. I worried if I would be able to keep pedaling while tasting. It was not an issue at all. Don't let the fear of "keeping up" with the pace of the ride or the drinking deter you from choosing this option.
