A fun introduction to several food establishments in Kilauea. Susie hosted us with great care and attention. Visited Kauai Juice Company for kombucha, Kilauea Fish Market for ahi wraps, Kilauea Market + Café for taro burgers, Big Nick's for a plate lunch, and finally Kilauea Bakery and Pizzeria for dessert. Wonderful! Susie described the food, put it in context of the culture and history of Kauai, and told us about the owners and chefs at the restaurants. The tour involves a little bit of walking, from place to place. The only long walk amounts to about a third of a mile, down to Big Nick's and the same amount back, but participants can drive their cars if they want. I never thought I would have a taro burger, but this was the place to try it, and I'm glad I did! All the food was excellent.

Susie is a wonderful tour host. We joined the tour for the North section. The tour was an easy walk. The food was excellent and I found the portions to be generous. I had my first taro burger and it was so good I went back the next day to have another! Taro is not a food I like but this was delicious. She introduced us to a new area outside of Princeville. A great place to shop and eat that matched our food tastes. I never would have found this area. She was asked for tips in out specific areas and was happy to share.

We did the Coconut Coast food tour with Susan. Loved all 6 stops and discovered several new restaurants that I wouldn't have found on my own. The food was delicious and Susan was a great guide educating us about the food scene in Kauai, recommending several restaurants near where we were staying, and just general knowledge and history of Kauai. Nice afternoon.
