The bus was full of Chinese speaking customers. The guide spoke in Chinese most of the time with a sentence or two in English. We were charged $356 for three of us. Later we were asked to pay another $293 for three of other options. This made the tour very expensive.

Thank you very much for your feedback. After we investigated, we have already talked with our bilingual tour guide and requested him say English more! $356 is your tour fees. We can ensure you that is no hidden cost during the trip. $293 is your optional attraction fees on One World Observatory and USS Intrepid tour which is voluntary.

I’ve used Viator many times from Hawaii to Washington DC to Portugal, all positive experiences, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. Our driver was not a fluent English speaker making it extremely difficult to understand most of what he was saying and made communication about scheduling and pick up locations very confusing and frustrating. Our fellow passengers from India and China also struggled. The best thing I can say was that the motor coach was nice and comfortable but this ended up being basically a very expensive ride share. The description doesn’t make it clear that all of the options are an added expense and if you opt to not do them you’re sitting in the vehicle for an hour+ while those that opted in are doing the activity. The day for the 4 of us ended up costing about $800!! Seemed fishy that I had to Venmo him directly for optional tickets with an added service fee. So disappointed!

Dear Customer, Thank you so much for sharing your feedback about our service. On resolving your issue, we are making following explanations and solutions with a thorough investigation. Here is what we have come up with: Please accept our sincere apology for any inconvenience incurred. All of all tour guides are bilingual and could speak certain levels of fluent English. Still, we are aware that many are not native speakers, and it may bring up potential communication hassles. About the optional items, you can choose attend it or not, if you choose not to attend it, you can do free activities around the attractions and come back at the gathering time. In addition, we are so sorry that our guide forgot that the service was included in your tour fee and charged once again. We will return it to you, please contact us with your order information and email to [email protected]. Hope the above explanations help you resolve this case. If there is anything we could assist with, please let us know.
