This was our first time in Austin and we had very limited time to see the city. Evan did an amazing job of highlighting fun areas and giving us tips for great restaurants (veracruz was amazing)! Even though it was raining the entire time (sorry Evan I seem to take rain with me even when I visit San Diego), we still had a fantastic time. As a long time resident of Austin Evan knew what highlights to cover for newbies. Highly recommend this tour and will rebook other tours they offer. The music scene tour sounds fun! Thanks Evan I enjoyed being assistant guide in shotgun seat!See ya next time.

Ike was the sh*t. The tour was more like a trip through Ike’s everlasting love for Austin. He led us through the city’s history into it’s evolving present and everything in between. He went above and beyond with opportune picture moments and a few other surprises. His tailored recommendations and continuous dad jokes were a wonderful welcome to this IKEonic city.

My husband and I are in Austin for the first time and so we decided to do this tour to see some popular spots around town. Our tour guide was Trace who was awesome! He was very informative and had lots of tips and fun facts for us throughout the ride. He even treated us to some gelato which was delicious. I love that he gave us a cute postcard and a list of recommended places to visit. The only thing I would have liked to see different would be to actually get to sit and have some food from the food trucks at picnic park in Barton Springs. We ended up walking and riding scooters back to that same spot later on in the day to eat which was fun, but it would have saved some time to get to eat while there. Or maybe have a food truck tour option as well! :) Overall, a great experience and fun way to spend our morning/afternoon.

Thank you for booking with Austin Detours -- we're glad that you had a great time with Trace! There are so many wonderful things to see in this city and the Best of Austin Tour covers a lot of ground in just 2 hours. We include a stop for a sweet treat at the food truck park, but instead of taking time out of the tour for a full lunch, our expert local guide provides many options and recommendations so that guests can decide what they want to try on their own time. We also offer a Food Truck Crawl (available as a private tour) so we hope you'll consider joining us again in the near future to get your food truck fix! Cheers!
