The 3 combo trip included a stop at Mendenhall glacier, which allowed time to walk to the waterfalls, a beautiful and enriching hike. The 2nd part was whale watching. Host Christine and pilot Alex did a great job getting us quickly to the boat and out to the whales. Alex took us to several locations where we saw the blows and diving of quite a few whales. The 3rd stop was a salmon bake buffet. Good fish, sides and dessert after a busy morning. This excursion was a convenient way to do several things during our short stay in Juneau. We were well taken care of and given enough time to get back to town to visit downtown stores.

Whale watching was one of the prime events on my Alaskan Cruise. This tour made sure we saw whales and 10 whales were located and seen. They were majestic. The botanist on our ship was informative and I learned a lot of information on the feeding, birthing and migration of these majestic animals. A must do. The Salmon Bake topped off the tour. Yummy food and delicious fresh salmon.
