What To Expect

Kualoa Ranch

Established in 1850, Kualoa is a 4,000-acre (1,619-hectare) working cattle ranch that extends from the rugged mountains down to the ocean. The terrain includes dense rain forest, open valleys and white-sand beaches. Many areas of this natural paradise can be reached only on foot, horseback or all-terrain vehicle. You may even recognize the scenery as Kualoa Ranch has served as a set for Hollywood movies such as Jurassic Park, Pearl Harbor and Godzilla, and TV shows like Hawaii Five-O, Magnum P.I. and Lost.

Overall, I'm happy with this package. The jungle expedition did a great job. It took us to an amazing view with mountains and valleys. I did a short hike to get there and it was great to see different types of floral and fauna. The second one is Hollywood movie site. It was raining a bit when I was in the Hollywood site with the dinosaur skull props. Again, the view made me speechless. The third one, the farm tour, I think it's meh. It's like visiting fruit garden so there is nothing special about it. I don't really recommend this. To sum up, the jungle expedition and the Hollywood movie site are terrific. The farm tour is meh. I wish it could be replaced with the Malama experience

Package includes the Aloha Aina Farm Tour, Jurassic Jungle Expedition and Hollywood Movie Sites Tour. All were very good to excellent. It's a full day with the early Wakiki hotel pick-up but well worth it. Lunch is included and was surprisingly very good for a 'mass market' event. The Farm Tour is interesting to see what else Kualoa is involved in. Movie Sites takes you into Jurassic Valley for some stunning scenery and vistas, and movie history. But the Expedition is wild! A great roller-coaster of a truck ride through the hills and countryside of Kualoa, including some incredible views - do the small hike at the last stop, it's worth it! I'd even say it is a good overall value for money deal considering the three tours you get, plus lunch, but the hotel pick-up charge is a bit expensive, however you don't have much choice if you're car-less.

Everyone who works at the ranch genuinely loves their jobs and it radiates into your visit. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable. Every tour is amazing and gives you different opportunities to see different things. We got to see so much in just a few hours and got some amazing photos. Definitely worth every cent!
