Joseph Sylvia State Beach

This state beach is famous for a scene which was filmed for the movie Jaws, and for the famous Jaws bridge where people jump off the bridge into the water all day.

Aquinnah Cliffs

Colorful clay cliffs located below the beautiful Aquinnah lighthouse

Aquinnah Lighthouse

A brick lighthouse, still operating, and positioned above the Aquinnah cliffs.

Martha's Vineyard Camp meeting Association (MVCMA)

Gingerbread houses galore in this cute area which began as a religious gathering place in the 19th century.

Flying Horses Carousel

This is the oldest platform merry-go-round in the country. If you grab the brass ring, you ride for free.

Menemsha Public Beach

This is said to be the best beach for sunsets. It is also featured in the movie "Jaws" and is a great place for a quick chowder or lobster bisque.

Old Whaling Church

A majestic church built by whaling captains and is representative of the wealth they sustained during the whaling industry period.

Edgartown Lighthouse

A stately lighthouse built in the early 1800's, overlooking Edgartown harbor and Chappaquiddick.

One of our best tours ever, our driver, Jim, was friendly and courteous, and he also gave us a complete history lesson about this beautiful island. We explored the island in detail and learned about the fascinating history behind its development from the beginnings with the Indigenous population through the whaling industry to today's focus on the tourist industry. We also learned about the impressive actions being taken to ensure the protection of the natural environment. Jim's passion and knowledge made us understand why Martha's Vineyard is such a great place to visit and even to live.

Absolutely fantastic tour! My friend and I recently joined the full-island tour of Martha’s Vineyard offered through American Cruise Line and we couldn’t have been more pleased. Our guide, Harry, was exceptional. His extensive knowledge of the island’s history, culture and landmarks made the experience incredibly enriching. His narration, reminiscent of Kasey Kasem’s iconic voice, added a warm and engaging touch to the tour. Harry’s passion for the island was evident in every story he shared, and his friendly demeanor made us feel right at home. I appreciated Greg’s nonbias story telling about that history of Martha’s Vineyard. It was not from a political standpoint about the Kennedy’s, The Obama’s or where African Americans played a role in the history of the island. I would love do take this tour again, I wish there was more time at the stops to see and wonder about. That would be the only constructive feedback. GREAT JOB VIATOR!
