The tour guide was knowledgable, the van was comfortable. It was fun to see the volcano and learn about what I was seeing.

This was an enjoyable trip, but there is a lot of driving on winding roads to reach the crater. The views are amazing, but be aware that the weather is changeable and there is a risk of low clouds, which means no views. I would recommend skipping the meal during the lunch stop and strolling through the small town shops. One negative: the thirty minute stop in the Iao Valley is not long enough.
