I recommend taking the tour on your first day. It provides a good overview of Nashville. We used it to figure out what areas to explore.

The guide gave a lot of information in the 60 minutes, stopping only for sips of water. I had no idea Nashville was given the name Music City by Queen Victoria. Cool Brittania.
