Found Best of the Burgh through an internet search. Valentina and Corrie were both very helpful and extremely accommodating in arranging a tour for us outside normal hours on a cold and windy January evening. Corrie was a fantastic tour guide - lots of knowledge (former history teacher!) - and clearly has a passion both for history and her native Pittsburgh. She was very engaging and kept us all riveted throughout our hour+ time with her. I recommend doing this tour early on in a visit as not only does it provide a great overview of the city core, but Corrie highlighted lots of places I wouldn't have found on my own and wanted to go back to (thanks Dave at the William Penn Speak Easy!). If I'm back in Pittsburgh, I'm booking the movie-themed walk for sure. Thank you Corrie for your knowledge and hospitality!

My daughter and I (Wisc) wanted to do a walking tour during the day prior to attending the women's NCAA Volleyball Championship game Saturday evening. I found this tour online the morning of. Pam was our guide along with two other travelers. The online registration worked perfect and I received a cell call shortly after making the reservation to confirm our tour and to make sure we knew where to meet. It went like clockwork. Perfect day, perfect amount of time. Pam was great, informative, very engaging. She made sure that any questions we had were getting answered and provided a great overview of key historical people, events, and architecture. I highly recommend this tour to people wanting a brief history of the city and to stretch their legs. Plus, Pittsburgh is terrific.
