Built by the Spanish in 1786 for missionary purposes, it is a well-preserved monastery that is still in use today. The Santa Barbara Old Mission is one of the top ten cathedrals in California and one of the greatest treasures of Santa Barbara. The Old Mission Santa Barbara displays great Spanish architecture, exclusive history, and demonstrates an important religious significance, making this such a unique landmark in Santa Barbara! The Train Ride and the overall package. The guide was courteous and knowledgeable!!! Recommend this trip for 1st time visitors to the Santa Barbara area.

This tour is exclusively targeted to Chinese speaking tourists. Although I have booked an English speaking tour, the tourguide mainly spoke Chinese. Have had to ask several times for translations in English. Tour guide had limited English speaking ability. Tour guide also demanded a tip, and money had to be handed over to the guide. Also poorly planned and rushed tour. I feel deceived.
