We went on a night Big Bus Tour in Washington DC in December. We expected a good tour as we had taken Big Bus Tours in Las Vegas and in Athens Greece and enjoyed them tremendously. However, the DC tour was a waste of money and a waste of our time. We did not "see" what was promised or what we did "see" was just looking off into the distance as the guide pointed it out. We did not get to spend any time at the monuments except for the Roosevelt monument. My husband is a veteran of Desert Shield/Storm as well as family members being veterans from Vietnam. It was shameful that the Vietnam wall was overlooked and not talked about, nor were we able to stop at the WWII memorial. We only drove past it. As good of an experience we have had with other trips, we will no longer take any Big Bus Tours on our next Trips. Go yourself to visit the sites, you do not get what you promised going on the tour.

We used the double decker Big Bus in Washington DC. We purchased the 48 hour ticket with the Night Tour. We would highly recommend this tour as an easy way to sight see the city. We rode the bus loops to get a feel for the city and what sights we wanted to see. Then we chose the farthest attractions to see via the bus, using the closest attractions to walk to or use public transit. Winnell during the day made us laugh, he even helped us with public transit. Tom and Dave hosted our night tour and made sure we had the best spots for photographs. Toms knowledge of history and the area was phenomenal!

I was in Washington, DC for a two day meeting. I opted to stay for four days to explore our nation's capitol. I purchased a 48 hr pass plus the night tour combo. At every stop the driver and narrators were awesome! Jonathan and David were great at the Willard Hotel stop. Maria Vivar stood for hours out in the sub-freezing temperatures offering friendly directions and advice on which bus to board for which attraction/monument. Krishna and Sally were our team for the night tour of the capitol and monuments. Krishna was an excellent driver; even switched buses because one was much warmer than the other. Sally was an amazing wealth of information about everything Washington, DC. She was funny and friendly and made everyone feel at home. The green loop on 1/24 (forgot his name, sorry) was great. I was the only one on the bus, and I got the million dollar tour. He was great! Peter and Shirley were the yellow loop team for my last trip. Peter provided so much information and history of the city, including Georgetown, it was incredible. Shirley stopped at a closer stop so I could board the bus more easily and was friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend the Big Bus tour. My aloha and appreciation to all the staff and drivers who provided me a grand tour of the city and its attractions.
